  • January - Trafalgar Tours Carry-On Luggage restrictions!!!!

I am quoting directly from Trafalgar Tours Re: Carry-on luggage size and restrictions:

Hand luggage should be one piece per person & should be limited in size (not exceeding 30x28x14cm or 12x11x6) so as to fit under your coach seat or in the shelf. These are the responsibility of each tour member & should be taken onto the motorcoach with you. Please note that luggage with telescopic handles & wheels will not fit in the overhead compartments & can therefore not be accepted as carry-on luggage for safety reasons."

Basically, this means, in order to take it onto the motor coach it will have to be a day bag, backpack type of bag. The luggage with clothing and personal items will be stored under the bus, retrieved by you and carried to your hotel room.

You can use a regular school back pack or you can upgrade to a travel day bag, they are availble at a variety of different stores such as Target, Walmart, K-mart, JC Penny's, Macy's etc. The bags that I have are available from Rick Steves Travel store and Le Travel Store.

Another item I use are the RFID blocking Passport Billfolds- Since the new passports now have a RFID chip in them it is better to protect your personal information from those that are not suppose to get it by sliding your passport into one of these envelopes and keep it safe. These can be purchased at Think Geek for around $15. There are also available for credit cards that have that same type of technology in them, it keeps your numbers safe when they are not being taken out at a store to purchase you item.
